It took off with a brief presentation by Sri Vijay Kumar, the joint convener of Barh Mukti Abhiyan, apprising the audience of the scenario leading to the inception of Barh Mukti Abhiyan.

बिहार देश के उन गिने चुने राज्यों में है जहाँ वन क्षेत्र बहुत कम है। सबसे कम वन क्षेत्र वाले 10 राज्यों की फेहरिस्त बनाई जाये, तो बिहार उनमें शामिल होगा।
इसके बावजूद बिहार सरकार बचे हुए वन क्षेत्र को सुरक्षित-संरक्षित रख नहीं पा रही है।

Posted on 15 Jul, 2017 01:25 PMयह सम्मेलन निर्मली में तेरा पंथ के प्रांगण में 5-6 अप्रैल को सम्पन्न हुआ। इस सम्मेलन में सर्वप्रथम बाढ़ मुक्ति अभियान के सह-संयोजक श्री विजय कुमार ने बाढ़ मुक्ति अभियान का परिचय उपस्थित लोगों को दिया। उन्होंने बताया कि 1984 में जब कोसी नदी पर बना पूर्वी तटबन्ध नौहट्टा के पास टूटा तब वह तटबन्ध नहीं एक आस्था टूट गई थी। तटबन्धों की छोटी-मोटी दरारों और उससे होने वाले नुकसानों को अब तक एक दुर्घटना
