काली बासिंग जैव विविधता पर कैंसर की तरह है जो अन्य पौधों से पोषक पदार्थों और आवास के लिए प्रतिस्पर्धा करता है, सफल भी होता है। जिसके कारण अन्य पौधों को पोषक तत्व और आवास नहीं मिल पाता। वो धीरे-धीरे कम हो जाती है जिससे जैविक रूप से महत्वपूर्ण प्रजातियां संकटग्रस्त हो रही हैं जिसका प्रभाव प्रकृति से मिलने वाले पदार्थों पर पड़ रहा है।
काली बासिंग जैव विविधता पर कैंसर की तरह है।
