Posted on 02 Feb, 2014 06:59 PM फ्लोराइड नॉलेज एंड एक्शन नेटवर्कफ्लोराइड की अधिक मात्रा वाला पानी पीने से या अधिक फ्लोराइड वाले जल से सिंचित खाद्यान्न खाने से फ्लोरोसिस होता है. भारत में पेयजल में इसकी सुरक्षित मात्रा है 1एमजी/प्रति लीटर. फ्लोरोसिस की प्रमुख किस्में हैं- डेंटल फ्लोरोसिस और स्केलेटल फ्लोरोसिस.

वरुणा के जल में प्रदूषण की बात तो आम है लेकिन अब इसके दोनों किनारों पर भूजल में फ्लोराइड का भी आक्रमण हो चुका है। यह इस क्षेत्र में रहने वालों के लिए खतरे की घंटी है। काशी हिंदूविश्वविद्यालय के एक शोध में फ्लोराइड की मौजूदगी के सबूत मिले हैं

Posted on 02 Apr, 2010 10:06 AM गया से महज़ चौंसठ किलोमीटर के फ़ासले पर है आमस प्रखंड का गांव भूपनगर, जहां के युवक इस बार भी अपनी शादी का सपना संजोए ही रह गए. कोई उनसे विवाह को राज़ी न हुआ. वजह है उनकी विकलांगता. इनके हाथ-पैर आड़े-तिरछे हैं, दांत झड़ चुके हैं, हड्डियां ऐंठ गई हैं. जवानी में ही लोग बूढ़े हो गये हैं. गांव के लोग बीमारी का नाम बताते हैं- फ्लोरोसिस.
