अब उन खरे तालाबों की खोज कौन करेगा? 
अनुपम मिश्र या हम सबके प्रिय पमपम पर पाँच साल पहले लिखा गया श्रवण गर्ग का यहआलेख है। अनुपम भी उनके द्वारा तलाशे गए तालाबों की तरह से ही खरे थे। अनुपम ने तो तालाबों को उनके दूर होते हुए भी खोज लिया । हम उन्हें अपने इतने नज़दीक होते हुए भी खोज नहीं पाए। 19 दिसम्बर को अनुपम की पुण्यतिथि थी।

In the times when tapped water supply is considered an absolute sign of development, the traditional water harvesting systems are losing their age-old relevance. This is why the Lakholaav pond in Rajasthan assumes greater significance. Located at Marwar Mundwa town in Nagaur district, Lakholaav is an exception. As ponds in other towns have shrunk due to encroachments and dumping of garbage, Lakholaav is providing drinking water to the town the whole year round. Citizens as well as the municipal committee take utmost care ensuring cleanliness and efficient management.

The Sir Dorabji Tata Trust (SDTT) has been implementing a programme on diversion-based irrigation (DBI) since early 2009 to promote the development of small scale irrigation through diversion of water from streams. The film “From ripple to a tide” tells multiple stories related to sustainable irrigation systems, from the eyes of one of its team members who has been involved in the programme.
