When it comes to water management, we have predominantly covered the work of civil society actors and government in the past. But in recent years, we have seen several highly innovative, market based approaches to solving India’s water security challenges.

WaterAid India is a non-profit organisation dedicated to transforming lives by improving access to safe water, sanitation, and hygiene. The organisation focuses on marginalised and vulnerable communities, striving to ensure that everyone, everywhere, has access to these essential services.

Poor management of water and  over dependence on groundwater is making India a water stressed country, which can spell doom for agricultural productivity.
