This document is a draft of water policy of Puducherry by the Department of Science, Technology and Environment, Government of Puducherry . The draft in its preamble states that effective and efficient management of water resources in Puducherry is essential. Further the government needs to develop a mechanism for effective management of natural disasters in vulnerable areas as Puducherry is prone to frequent floods, droughts and cyclones.
