नांहली गाँव नंदुरबार मुख्यालय से लगभग 35 किमी दूर दोंडाईचा राजमार्ग पर स्थित है। 1,305 की आबादी वाले इस गाँव में लगभग 265 घर हैं। इस गाँव में प्राथमिक विद्यालय और गाँव के बीच में एक आंगनवाड़ी केंद्र और एक प्राथमिक स्वास्थ्य केंद्र भी है। पहले, लोग पीने के पानी के लिए ग्राम पंचायत के कुंए पर निर्भर थे, लेकिन 2005 के बाद इस पानी की गुणवत्ता में गिरावट शुरू हो गई।

Posted on 07 Mar, 2010 10:48 AM लखनऊ। क्या आपको मालूम है कि उत्तर प्रदेश में छोटे-बड़े लगभग 40 लाख नलकूप हर साल धरती के पेट से चार करोड़ मिलियन गैलन से अधिक पानी निकाल लेते हैं, जो सिंचाई के काम आता है। लगभग इतना ही पानी पीने के लिए निकाला जाता है। यही कारण है कि जमीन के भीतर का जलस्तर 20 से 70 सेंटीमीटर प्रतिवर्ष की दर से नीचे जा रहा है, जिसे रोकना अति आवश्यक है। यह बात किसी और ने नहीं, बल्कि पूर्व मुख्य सचिव नवीन चन्द्र वाजपेय
