About IDRC-CRDI and SDPI
The International Development Research Centre (IDRC) (French: Centre de recherches pour le développement international—CRDI ) is a Canadian Crown Corporation created by the Parliament of Canada in 1970. It supports research in developing countries to promote growth and development. IDRC reports to Canada’s Parliament through the Minister of Foreign Affairs. The aim of IDRC is to create innovative, lasting local solutions that build "healthier, more equitable, and more prosperous societies."
SDPI was founded in August 1992 on the recommendation of the Pakistan National Conservation Strategy (NCS), also called Pakistan’s Agenda 21. The NCS placed Pakistan’s socio-economic development within the context of a national environmental plan.

wH2O is an online, open-access academic journal for women and water issues around the world. Our vision is to publish a yearly journal; provide a centralized hub for women, water and sanitation information; and eventually, be able to provide research grants to facilitate more research in this space.
