Not enough water, villagers look for solution
Posted on 25 May, 2018 06:03 PMThere seems to be no end to the drinking water crisis in the Bemetara district in Chhattisgarh. It is only becoming worse with every passing day. More than 40 percent of all the hand pumps installed in the district have run dry due to the depletion of groundwater level.

Rise in sea surface temperature kills corals
Posted on 24 May, 2018 03:03 PMCorals lose their beautiful colours and even die during a coral bleaching event. The corals in the Gulf of Mannar suffered severe losses during the global coral bleaching event that occurred between March and October 2016, according to new data published recently.

For example, the average annual rainfall in India varies considerably from one region to another; it is as high as 1000 cm in the Northeast and as low as 10 cm in western Rajasthan.
