Video Volunteers is an international media organization empowering the voices of the world’s unheard communities. Its mission is to empower the world’s poorest citizens to right the wrongs they witness by becoming players in the global media revolution. 

Video Volunteers launched its community news service, IndiaUnheard, on 3rd of May 2010. Since then, we have trained 45 people to be community correspondents, voices of an India beyond the margins. We’re looking for passionate community members whom we can train to become the voice of their communities.

Rainforest Rendezvous is a great opportunity to photograph the less photographed creatures. Under the guidance of renowned herpetologist, researcher and conservationist Gowri Shankar, learn a great deal about the elusive wildlife in the depths of the Western Ghats. He would share his extensive knowledge about the rainforests and their conservation and lead us on the trail to discover the myriad forms of life. If there’s a rescue call from a nearby village, we’ll even accompany him on the mission to relocate the snake to its natural habitat.

Research and Action in Natural Wealth Administration (RANWA) is an NGO, established in 1993 by a group of nature enthusiasts in Pune, is involved in diversified activities related to environment protection, conservation, education and research. Applications are invited for the post of temporary position of `Project Assistant’ under the project entitled, ‘Western Ghats Portal’.

ACCESS is a not-for-profit company whose overall aim is to incubate new institutions to enable their self-sufficiency and self-sustainability. To this end, it offers specialised technical assistance under two verticals: microfinance and livelihoods.

The 2011 theme of the competition is centered on the "Collectives in the Agri-allied Sector". For purposes of the competition, agri allied sector comprises the dairy, poultry, goatary, sheep rearing, piggery, fisheries, sericulture and bee keeping etc sectors.

As part of the 150 years’ celebrations of the Institution of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG), a national level online essay competition for the graduate and post graduate students in all the disciplines has been organized. The subject is “Role of CAG in meeting challenges of good governance”. The competition is open only for Indian citizens who are not more than 25 years of age.

The project implementing personnel often lack necessary skills of documenting and reporting their own achievements in the projects. Analyzing the situations, the processes of interventions made and the achievements/outputs is difficult task for the project personnel.

There are several things that could be done to improve the content on India Water Portal. With this, we aim to start a series of posts listing some of the tasks that you could take up to contribute to the India Water Portal and the broader vision of "Safe sustainable water for all".
