Advanced Center for Water Resources Development and Management (ACWADAM) is a civil society organisation working on groundwater management in different parts of India. ACWADAM’s focus is in the area of developing and improving understanding of groundwater resources. It also deals with the demystification of groundwater science and strengthening hydrogeological capacities of institutions working in the water sector in India.

The National Centre for Advocacy Studies (NCAS) is a social change resource centre working with social action groups, public interest professionals, and people from all over India and the Global South. NCAS engages a participatory, people-centred policy that enables people on all levels of society to advocate for human rights and social justice. As a social change resource centre, NCAS builds and bridges ideas, people, and perspectives for the advancement of human rights and social justice. 

Solid waste is increasing in the city due to growth of population, urbanization, higher per capita income and standard of living, changing lifestyle and food habits.

The first section of the paper explains about the structure of the solid waste in the city. The solid waste according to its constituents is presented in the second section. The third section of the paper explains about the regression result. The last section deals with the policy implication and conclusion.

Centre for Environment Education (CEE), was established in August 1984 as a centre of excellence supported by the Ministry of Environment and Forests, Government of India. CEE, a national institution with its headquarters in Ahmedabad, has a mandate to promote environmental awareness nationwide.

Objective: To monitor and control from a single point the water quantity, quality, treatment and distribution process in real time for the entire city.

This project caters to the need for a real time water auditing, monitoring and control system for the entire city of Pimpri Chinchwad spread over 171 sq.kms with a water supply of 428 ML per day.
