Advanced Center for Water Resources Management (ACWADAM) works on the science of groundwater management in different regions of India and the forward and backward linkages to groundwater resources, whether in drinking water, sanitation, agriculture, watershed management and Natural Resource Management, in general.

Applied Environmental Research Foundation with the support of Save the Western Ghats group is proud to announce the celebrations of 25 years of Save the Western Ghats march. A meeting of some civil society organizations and other stakeholder from various walks of life will be organised.

I have made a reed bed for treating bath,wash basin and washing machine water. The aim was to reuse the water for gardening without doing major changes in the plumbing of existing houses. After close to two years from the first post here is an update:

SOPPECOM, Pune, on behalf of Forum for Policy Dialogue on Water Conflicts in India, is looking for a Research Associate (RA) for its work on Right to Water and Sanitation in India (RTWS). Presently SOPPECOM is also anchoring the project activities of the Forum for Policy Dialogue on Water Conflicts in India and is one of the knowledge partners in the campaign around right to water and sanitation in India.

ACWADAM’s focus is in the area of developing and improving understanding of groundwater resources. It also deals with the demystification of groundwater science and strengthening hydrogeological capacities of institutions working in the water sector in India.

Description:

The Department of Biodiversity, Abasaheb Garware College, Pune is organizing a National Conference on 'Biodiversity Assessment, Conservation and Utilization'  during 9-11 Feb 2012 under the chairmanship of renowned ecologist Prof. Madhav Gadgil. In connection with this a theme based nature photography competition named 'Wild Reflections' is also being organized.
