This course is specifically designed and prepared by professionals and experts of IGNOU Peoples' University as an online program for a duration of three months. The course provides training in new media, citizen journalism and empowerment to old & new generation of citizens.

The School of Arts and Aesthetics, JNU is one of the few places in India that offers post-graduate degree courses in the theoretical and critical study of the cinematic, visual and performing arts. Moreover, it is the only place in India where these disciplines are offered in an integrated programme that allows students to understand the individual arts in a broader context of history, sociology, politics, semiotics, gender and cultural studies apart from being able to integrate the study of one art form with the other arts. The three streams of study offered at the school are Visual Studies, Theatre & Performance Studies and Cinema Studies.

A one day conference of the State Secretaries in charge of rural development, rural water supply and rural sanitation is to be held under the Chairmanship of Shri Jairam Ramesh, Minister of Rural Development and Drinking Water and Sanitation, on Monday, September 26, 2011.
In the conference, new policy interventions for accelerating the Total Sanitation Campaign (TSC), National Rural Drinking Water Programme (NRDWP) and Indira Awas Yojna (IAY) and convergence between these schemes, MNREGS , and National Rural Livelihood Mission (Ajivika) will be discussed.
