Water projects get priority in MGNREGA amidst COVID-19

Despite strict measures by the government to stop any movement, people facing lost jobs and high cost of living in the cities began to walk back or use whatever transportation was available to travel to their home villages.

Nearly three lakh people across eight districts affected by floods in Bihar

So far, the flood waters have entered 150 panchayats of 30 blocks across eight districts, namely Sitamarhi, Shivhar, Supaul, Kishanganj, Darbhanga, Muzaffarpur, Gopalganj and East Champaran .
An official of Bihar's Disaster Management Department said,
