About the position
Arghyam is seeking a dynamic and passionate Officer - Programs who will actively engage with various stakeholders in the water ecosystem to address the pressing water quality issues in the country. This individual will collaborate closely with a diverse group including government functionaries, civil society organizations, water experts, institutions and market players to identify pivotal issues and build a collective ecosystem response to solve the issues.
Skills
To excel in this role, you should have the following qualifications and skills:
● Stakeholder Management: Skills in managing and collaborating with diverse
stakeholders.
● Subject Matter Expertise: Knowledge and experience in water quality, related
schemes/policies and programs is preferred.
● Communication Skills: Strong systems thinking and negotiation skills, facilitation and
presentation skills, public speaking, and storytelling abilities.
● Adaptability: Ability to navigate ambiguity and uncertainty while managing diverse workloads.
● Time Management: Capability to work independently, meet tight deadlines, and prioritize
multiple tasks effectively.
● Technology: Understanding of basic digital technology and an ability to learn & help
deployment of technology solutions in programs.
Qualifications
● Experience: 2-5 years of experience in building partnerships, with a significant portion of this
experience in the not-for-profit sector.
● Education: A Master's degree or equivalent in management studies, environmental science,
water management or other related field.
● Water Sector: Familiarity with the water sector is an advantageous asset, but a passion for
addressing water security issues is paramount.
