Recent technical literature relevant to the Hydrologists of the country – A compilation by the National Institute of Hydrology

The report is a compilation of abstracts and annotated bibliography of hydrological literature from select national and international Journals for the year 1996-97. Though a sizeable number of Journals are published in the field of hydrology and water resources, scientists involved in different studies and projects find it difficult to go through all of them.

The report is for those working in Hydrological Institutes, NGO’s and Regional Centers who are interested in hydrological information and would like to be informed of the enormous increase in published literature on the subject in recent times. In particular, the report looks at hydrology related research papers and data published in select National and International Journals.

The reviewed Journals are –

 

  1. National: Mausam and Photonirvachak
  2. International: Journal of Hydrology, Hydrological Sciences Journal (IAHS), Hydrological Processes Journal, American Water Resources Bulletin

 

The review has helped identify relevant information and research papers of topical interest for the year 1996-97. It can be a source of appropriate and useful source for ready reference for the present status of hydrological problems and their solutions in the emerging frontiers of hydrology relevant to the country.
