VIKSAT (Vikram Sarabhai Centre for Development Interaction), established in 1977, is an activity of the Nehru Foundation for Development (NFD), Ahmedabad. VIKSAT, engaged in promotion of participatory management of natural resources, believes that the goal of sustainability in natural resources development and management can be achieved only through decisive participation of the local communities aided by an enabling role of the government agencies.
VIKSAT is looking for Field Coordinator for its Radhanpur Field Office, in Patan District of Gujarat.
Work Profile:
VIKSAT is implementing sustainable natural resource management (NRM) and livelihood activities through its Field Office at Radhanpur in Patan District of Gujarat. The Field Coordinator will be responsible for field level coordination and implementation of various projects and activities being undertaken through the Field Office.
Qualification:
Postgraduate or Graduate in social work, rural studies, social sciences or related field.
Experience:
Minimum three years experience for postgraduates or five years experience for graduates. Preference will be given to those with relevant experience in the NGO/development sector, especially in the field of NRM, livelihoods, water & sanitation, micro-finance, SHGs, Farmers Clubs, community mobilization, etc.
