The flagship programmes of Government of India, Total Sanitation Campaign (TSC) and National Rural Drinking Water Programme (NRDWP) are being implemented by the State Water and Sanitation Mission (SWSM) Jharkhand, Government of Jharkhand. The NRDWP guideline makes provision for a state level Water and Sanitation Support Organisation for taking up various support activities under the drinking water and sanitation sector. In Jharkhand the state level Programme Management Unit, which is registered as a society has been working on planning, monitoring and support in programme implementation. The State Water and Sanitation Mission, Jharkhand wishes to recruit a State Consultant, Hydrogeology.

Job description:
The Consultant shall support the design, implementation and maintenance of rural water schemes for making best use of ground water and recharge structure. A critical element of this is to support the DWSM to identify and develop the water resources and ensure its optimum use. They shall develop appropriate strategy for locating suitable sites for recharge structure.
Qualifications:
- M.Tech /Post-Graduate degree in Geo-hydrology or a related subject. Fair knowledge of Chemistry is essential.
- At least 7 years work experience in related sector. Candidates with experiences in rural drinking water sector will be given preference.
- Good understanding of MS Office, Computer applications related to Water and Sanitation.
- Excellent oral & written communication skills in Hindi and English.
- Knowledge & ability to use computers, especially GIS including graphics.
- Ability to work independently without any secretarial support.
