School of Agriculture IGNOU calls for applications for Diploma in Wastershed Management (DWM) a collaborative programme with Department of Land Resources Ministry of Rural Development Government of India.
The Diploma programme in Watershed Management aims at developing competent human resource in the field of Watershed Development/Management. It intends to impact basic knowledge and skills for water harvesting, conservation & utilization; soil erosion & its management; integrated farming system including crop husbandry, animal husbandry, agroforestry, fish farming; funding, monitoring, evaluation & capacity building of watershed programmes besides extension & communication skills for long term socio-economic development of the society. It will provide the basic understanding of various activities undertaken during watershed development. The programme also intends to address the workforce requirement of the watershed management & focus on upgrading the knowledge & skills of existing personnel in the watershed development.
Qualification:
- 10+2 pass/Bachelor Preparatory Programme (BPP) from IGNOU
- 10 pass can enrol simultaneously for the BPP and the Diploma programme
