With the support of UNDP, the Jal Bhagirati Foundation (JBF) is conducting a Scholars Program on Best Practices of Sustainable Development targeting students and practitioners from across the globe to engage in contemporary dialogue and broaden the depth for understanding on key issues confronting development in the world today.
The program will draw from the experience and expertise of the Foundation and the pool of experts and accomplished practitioners across the country. Spanning about a month, the program will be held three times a year. The first session will start on the 23rd of November and end by the 19th of December, 2009. The next session is slated for summer 2010.
The program is structured into three phases: orientation phase, learning phase and research phase. In the learning phase there are 10 units relating sustainable development.
