About the project
The Tamil Nadu Irrigated Agriculture Modernization and Water Bodies Restoration and Management (TN IAMWARM) is a unique World Bank funded project implemented with the prime motive of maximizing the productivity of water leading to improved farm incomes and products.
The IAMWARM project is implemented in 61 sub basins in Tamil Nadu with an out lay of Rs,2547 crores for a period of 6 years from 1.04.2007 to 31.03.2013. The project is likely to be extended upto 30.09.2014. Eight Line Departments are involved in implementation of the Project viz. Water Resources Dept, Agriculture Dept, Agri Engineering Dept, Agri Marketing Dept, Horticulture Dept, Animal Husbandry Dept, Fisheries Dept and Tamil Nadu Agricultural University.
Vacant posts and required qualifications
1) Agri. marketing specialist: (Rs. 20,000 P.M. consolidated) – One post – Qualification: MBA or equivalent from Reputed Institute preferably with related experience of 3 years or Retired official from Ministry of Agriculture , Government of Tamilnadu.
2) Information specialist : (Rs. 25,000 P.M. consolidated) – One post – Qualification : B.E. or B.Tech in I.T. or M.C.A. with 3 years experience in handling various softwares and trained in Hardware components and capacity to train officials and stake holders involved in the project or retired official from Government.
3) Training coordinator : (Rs.32,000 P.M. consolidated) – One post – Qualification : MBA with 5 years experience or Masters degree in H.R. or Social Sciences with at least 10 years experience in capacity building CSO/NGO etc.,
4) Typist with computer knowledge & shorthand: (Rs. 12000 P.M. consolidated) – Three post– Qualification: Minimum general educational qualification, typewriting and shorthand both higher in English and lower in Tamil, DCA or its equivalent.
5) Data entry operator: (Rs. 10000 P.M. consolidated) – One post - Qualification: Any degree or diploma with computer knowledge and knowledge of typing in English & Tamil is preferable.
- These posts are purely temporary and contractual for a short duration and likely to be extendable upto September 2014.
- Age should not exceed 50 years.
