Action for Social Advancement (ASA) is an NGO head quartered at Bhopal and working for the farm based livelihood improvement of rural poor in over 1000 villages in Madhya Pradesh and Bihar since 1996. It works in the field of Land and Water Resources Development, Agriculture Development, Agribusiness Promotion for small farmers, and Institutional credit for agriculture.
Position: Regional Coordinator-Bihar
Qualification:
- Post Graduation in any of the disciplines like; Rural Management, Social work, Agriculture, Agribusiness Management, Agriculture Engineering.
- Minimum 8 years experience in relevant field, out of which at least 4 years of grassroot working experience and 4 years in managerial position.
- Experience of preparing and managing annual plans & budgets
- Experience in marketing & fund raising
- Ability to work autonomously & as part of a team
- Fluency in Spoken & Written English and working knowledge of Hindi
- Excellent IT skills, especially Excel and MS Office applications.
Job description:
- Overall coordination of ASA Bihar Programmes -
- Development of perspective plan/Road map for ASA Bihar (at least 3 years plan)
- Taking initiatives for materialising new projects
- Mobilisation of funds from Government departments (at least convergence with existing projects)
- Liasoning with donors including progress reporting, funds flow
- Maintaining various stakeholder relations
- Networking with regional and local resource person/institutions and use their expertise for project interventions
- Take initiative to conduct State/regional consultation workshop
- Linkage with market (eg-for sale of agriculture produce, supply of agri-inputs)
- Administration -
- Integrating linkages with HO and Teams for Financial, HR, Admin, Training & other themes.
- Undertake annual planning and review exercise for all Bihar teams
- Attend team review meetings
- Regular field visits to Teams
- Facilitating cross learning between teams (Bihar & M.P) thru’ exposure visits, tele-conferencing, skype.
- Provide continuous support/grooming/mentoring of Team Leaders for developing leadership/management skills
- Publication of ASA works in local print media
- Ensuring deliverance of financial & physical progress as per Planning & Budget of all teams in Bihar.
Remuneration Package:
Rs 6.00 lacs per annum plus other non financial benefits as per norms of organisation.
