Aravali is a Jaipur based development support organisation engaged in enhancing human and institutional capacities of diverse development stakeholders, especially voluntary agencies, in Rajasthan. 

It is looking for a dynamic and experienced individual as Executive Director who will espouse the core values of concern, competence, and integrity. He/She will be expected to lead-by-example, a multi-disciplinary team and build upon the regionalisation agenda initiated in 2007-08 to usher value-at-the-doorstep for Aravali’s stakeholders. 

The Executive Director will be responsible for the following:


• Organisational: Strategic planning & resource mobilisation; representing Aravali at different fora, among stakeholders; recruitment & mentoring of Aravali's personnel; with the Governing Council & the Executive Committee, ensure running of the organisation as per the MoA of Aravali 


• Programmes: Provide directions to the team on programming options & design; programme development & resource mobilization; monitoring of programmes & assignments; liaison with the Government around programmes; ensuring quality & purpose in stakeholder engagements 


• Administration and Control: Ensure compliance with all legal and financial requirements; ensure adequate internal systems for financial control & smooth administration


Qualification:

The suitable candidate for this post would be around 35 to 45 years of age, with a post graduate degree or diploma as recognized nationally in a management field from a reputed management institution. He/she would have a proven track record in the field of development with around 12-15 years of experience working closely with or in development organisations, of which at least 5 years will be at a senior management position. Experience of working with community institutions (PRIs, CBOs, SHGs) will be a definite plus.



The position of Executive Director, like other full time positions in Aravali, will be contractual. The contract is given initially for a period of 2 years. The salary package is determined as per Aravali's salary structure and is expected to range from Rs. 7.0 to 7.5 lakh per annum along with other benefits as per organizational rules.
