Guest post from Daniel Bachhuber ======== Whitman Direct Action (WDA) is a non-profit, open-source, and student-run organization from Whitman College in the USA dedicated to helping marginalized people by promoting economically and environmentally sustainable community development. Whitman Direct Action 's Safe and Sustainable Water Conference on 19 March 2008 at the Nehru Science Center hopes to be an informative day for all those who will attend. Our focus is holistic, attempting to cover a broad range of issues related to sustainably bringing safe water access to a community, including culture, law, technology, and finance. The morning will have a series of keynote speakers while the focus of the afternoon will be guided discussions for the participants to learn as much about the trials and successes of each other as possible. Our conference also hopes to be as much of a catalyst for change as possible, attendees will receive some of the resources and contacts to take their projects to the next level. More information including speaker list can be found on our website: http://www.whitmandirectaction.org/cleanwater/conference/ The conference is part of the Sadhana Clean Water Project: http://www.whitmandirectaction.org/cleanwater/
