Description:

This week-long initiative will bring together theoretical debates and existing practices, enabling an interdisciplinary exploration of the systems, processes and values that drive the development of cities. The Institute will be conducted by an inter-disciplinary Indian and international faculty of academics and practitioners for the selected 40 applicants. Applicants should either have completed or be currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters programme in any discipline. The Institute is also open to professionals from relevant fields.

Registration Fees:

  • For working professionals: Rs. 9,000/-
  • For candidates pursuing under-graduate/graduate degrees: Rs. 5,000/-

Limited partial funding is available for those pursuing under-graduate/graduate degrees only. Residential facilities are also offered for candidates on a need basis.

Important Dates:

  • Last date for submitting applications: 30th November 2010
  • Short-listed candidates informed by telephone and email: 2nd December 2010
  • Telephonic Interviews: 4th December  2010
  • First list of accepted applicants; wait list admissions notified: 6th December 2010
  • Fees due for accepted applicants: 11th December 2010
  • Second and final list of accepted applicants: 12th December 2010
  • Last date for fees of accepted applicants from the wait list: 17th December 2010 

A demand draft should be made in favour of ‘Indian Institute for Human Settlements, Mumbai.' It should be sent by speed post/courier.

Each demand draft should have the name, address, e-mail and phone number of the candidate written behind the draft.

Demand drafts that arrive after the deadline will be returned un-encashed and the position would be made available to candidates on the waiting list.
