Description:Mountain Forum Himalayas is a NGO working since 1994 on core areas of Concern for Himalaya’s viz. Disaster Management, Mountain Livelihood, Mountain Water, Gender Mainstreaming and Governance.
MFH is indulged in various activities concerning its core areas such as: ongoing project of base line study on Climate Change in Kullu, Kinnaur and Lahaul - Spiti, Disaster Youth Volunteers Training in DMRCs (Disaster Management Resource Centers) at Kullu and Kaffota of district Sirmor, HP. Similarly to mark World Water Day on 22nd March, 2010 MFH is organizing “Parvatiya Jal Utsav”. (20th to 22nd March, 2010) The festive will be marked by the presence of Eminent Personalities such as Dr. Rajendra Singh Winner of Ramon Magsaysay Award, 2001.Experts Dr. Suresh (developed the technique of Spring Sanctuary) Jagat Singh Jangli ji and Sachidanand Bharti (done emissive work on Water and Environment in areas of Uttrakhand) will also be present.
