Description:
The System of Rice Intensification (SRI), developed in Madagascar some 25 years ago, is gaining increasing credence and momentum as probably 500,000 farmers in more than 20 countries are now using its methods to raise their rice production.
This training is being offered for promoting exchanges with the participants who are passionate to work on the System of Rice Intensification (SRI) Technology of cultivation. It will enable the experienced System of Rice Intensification (SRI) Practitioners to reflect upon the various economic aspects. It will also give an understanding of the requirements of the poor at the individual, household and community levels. This training will cover the Practical aspects at all the three levels – conceptual, practical and reflective levels. The training programme will have live on farm demonstration of each stage of the Paddy crop grown under System of Rice Intensification technology.
