Description:
The Geological Society of India will be conducting an objective-type entrance test (ET) to select about 20 students to attend a training camp in earth sciences during the summer of 2012. Four students will be finally chosen from among the training camp participants who will represent India at the 6th International Earth Science Olympiad (IESO), October 2012, Argentina.

IESO is an annual earth science competition for secondary school students. It is one of the major activities of the International Geoscience Education Organization that aims at raising student interest in and public awareness of earth sciences, as well as to enhance earth science learning of students. It also aims to forge friendly relationships among young learners from different countries and foster international cooperation in exchanging ideas and materials about earth science and earth science education.

Eligibility:
Students of X and XI standards who were born between July 1, 1994 and July 1, 1997, and who have not won a medal in an earlier IESO.

Duration: 2 hours.

Language: English.

Type of questions: Multiple-choice questions.
