H2H organises "Rainwater harvesting" competition in Mumbai, 29 Feb 2008

Thanks to Sanjay Bapat for forwarding this to us: ========== Dear friends: Popular demand has been pulling at our sleeves… so we are happily extending our deadline! Harvest 2 Harness is extending the deadline for submission of your entries on Rainwater Harvesting models to February 29, 2008 (Friday). After 3 successful years, you will agree that we have created a brand out of H2H… your support, of course, being the most significant part of this. When we (The Lotus Suites, now re-branded as VITS; Rachana Sansad Institute of Environmental Architecture and Eureka Forbes) started H2H, we had not anticipated to see participation by all of you in large numbers. We are thankful to each and every one of you… -- Because the complicated techniques of harvesting rainwater have been simplified largely by you -- Because you have shown us how you have successfully implemented some of these in your housing societies, your villages, your institute premises and even in your houses -- Because school children who let loose their creativity in a constructive manner have set examples for us 2007 saw felicitation of Bridge Charitable Trust, Village Chothala, Larsen & Toubro and students of J.J. College of Architecture in the design category. 2006 saw felicitation of Father Rocky Banz, Vasant Vihar, Thane and Vinayak Darshan, Dombivili Cooperative Housing Society as well as Grassroots Consultants for revival of lakes in Thane in the design category. 2005 saw felicitation of Naval Dockyard, St. Catherine's Home and Village Khamgaon wadi and students of Kamala Raheja in the design category. It is our aim to educate, inspire, assist individuals and societies to protect and conserve the environment. We feel a sense of achievement in acknowledging your efforts. The H2H 2008 Awards will not only recognize you but will also lead the way for other citizens to follow. Send us your entries if you desire to win or to contribute towards the cause of rainwater harvesting. The magnitude of your contribution doesn't matter… every drop that you save, and teach us how to, matters! After all, harvesting the rains is not an expenditure of funds, but an investment into our future!!!
