Organizer: Consortium for DEWATS Dissemination (CDD) Society

Venue: Centre for Advanced Sanitation Solutions (CASS), Bangalore

Description:

The Consortium for DEWATS Dissemination (CDD) Society is a not-for-profit organisation working in the field of decentralised basic need services across India. Decentralised solutions for waste water treatment, water and energy supply, solid waste management and urban sanitation planning are successfully promoted for the past ten years.

CDD aims to create a knowledge base for up-scaling decentralised basic need services through its capacity building approach. CDD Society, in partnership with Bremen Overseas Research and Development Association (BORDA), Germany and Rajiv Gandhi Rural Housing Corporation Limited (RGRHCL) is organising a 6 days introductory training programme on Decentralised Wastewater Treatment Systems (DEWATS) from 8th to 13th November, 2010 in Bangalore. The training aims to impart skills required for planning, implementing and managing DEWATS to the participants.

Eligible trainees are engineers and waste water specialists who are interested to acquire knowledge and skills on DEWATS. Interactive sessions, field visits, analysis of case studies and hands-on training is provided by an experienced training team from CDD, BORDA and different relevant organisations representing a good balance between academics and practitioners. The course has been carefully designed for a maximum of 20 participants. On successful completion of the training course, participants will receive a certificate from CDD Society.

We request you to send back the filled application form at the earliest. As the seats are limited, relevant participants will be selected by an expert committee and informed as soon as possible.

Registration Fee:

The course fee is Rs. 20,000/- which includes boarding and lodging, training kit, materials, local travel and training certificate. The short-listed participants need to send a DD/Cheque for the above amount to the address given below.
