Climate change exhibition in New Delhi : Technology development and transfer

logoInternational Exhibition on CLIMATE CHANGE: TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPMENT & TRANSFER is being organized on October 22-23, 2009 at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi by the Ministry of Environment & Forests (MoEF), Government of India, jointly with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). The Exhibition will be held concurrently with the Delhi High-level Conference organised by the Government of India and the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UNDESA).

 

Manufacturing companies, Service/Consulting companies, Industry organisations, Research organisations, Academic institutions, Banks/Financial institutions, Central and State Government Ministries, and Departments, Community/Citizen groups, NGOs, UN/Multilateral/Bilateral organisations, Development cooperation organisations, Embassies/High Commissions.are invited to demonstrate expertise in technology scenarios both present and future; institutional and business models of development and deployment; mechanisms to promote technology transfer to developing countries; and to enhance cooperation on research and development of current as well as new and innovative technologies, and international financial mechanism to support technology development and transfer.


The two-day Conference & Exhibition will open with a high-level ministerial segment inaugurated by the Prime Minister of India. This will offer a unique opportunity to the developed and the developing countries to offer their climate-friendly technologies and services as also to showcase effective solutions appropriate to the developing countries.

 

  • The objective of the conference is to promote international technology development and transfer in the context of the Bali Action Plan for enhancement of longterm cooperation for implementation of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).

 

  • To evolve mechanisms f o r international technology cooperation and collaboration.

 

  • To advance understanding on key actions needed to accelerate technology development and transfer in all countries in accordance with their national needs.

 

Exhibition Details

 

  • A total about 150 stalls each of area 9 sqm (i.e 3m x 3m) are available.

 

  • Shell Space : Minimum of 9 sqm , thereafter in multiples of 9m . Modular stalls with structure of international standard, with side and rear walls, fascia for organisation name, floor carpeting, 1 information table, 2 folding chairs, 3 spotlights, 15A power socket, 1 waste-paper basket.

 

  • Space costs : For minimum shell space of 9 sqm , and multiples thereof, the applicable rate is INR 3500 / USD 150 per sqm . Not-for-profit organisations may contact CII for applicable details.

 

  • Payment Terms : 100% payment to be paid at the time of booking, together with the application form. All payments are non-refundable and are to be made by demand draft, favouring “Confederation of Indian Industry” payable at New Delhi.

 

  • Exhibition Catalogue: Each exhibitor will be given one free entry in the Exhibition catalogue.

 

  • Allocation of Space : Since space available is limited, it will be available only on first-come-first-served basis.

 

  • Amenities/Facilities/Services: Round-the-clock Security arrangements for all exhibitors and visitors, Fire safety measures, Bulletin board, CII Help Desk,  rinking water, Tea/Coffee, Business Discussion Areas, VIP lounge, Meeting Rooms, Air-conditioned hangar, etc.

Interested participents can showcase your commitment by displaying your products / technologies at the exhibition. The exhibition fee is INR 3500 per sqm (Minimum stall is of 9 sq mt)

Registration for Conference

All the government delegates from member states of the United Nations, and others belonging to NGOs, multilateral and bilateral organizations, donor agencies, research organizations and other international organisations are not required to pay the registration fee. However, a nominal fee is being charged (not applicable to invitees) from participants to meet the incidental costs.
