The summit is organized by Center for Sustainable Development (CSD), under the leadership of President Dr A Ravindra, IAS (retd.), Advisor to Chief Minister, Government of Karnataka. It is supported by Ministry of Urban Development, Government of India; Karnataka Water Board, Government of Karnataka; Institution of Public Health Engineers (India); Bangalore Water Supply and Sewage Board and Indian Water Works Association and Administrative Staff College (India).
CSD's mission is to promote sustainable development by identifying critical issues in the context of the present and the future and addressing them in a manner which will achieve sustainable outcomes. Its programs and methods are designed to promote the involvement of different stakeholders and build capacity to achieve sustainability across sectors. CSD works in close association with various government agencies, scientific institutions and civil society organizations.

Clean water is emerging as the next great challenge for the world’s corporations, governments and communities – and as such, it also presents a significant business opportunity. Water infrastructure, waste water management and water purification are beginning to drive levels of investment comparable to renewable energy with approximately US$ 22 trillion expected to be spent on this sector worldwide over the next 20 years.
Bangalore World Water Summit has been exclusively designed to bring focus, exchange thoughts and ideas and showcase trends and technologies to sustain and improve water resources and their efficient and effective management; thereby finding answers towards solving some of the pressing, Indian and global issues related to water. Delegate Participation:
For participating as a Delegate, the fee structure is as follows:
- Early bird, till November 30, 2011: INR 7,500/- for Indian Nationals, USD 225/- for foreign nationals.
