In a message issued on the occasion, Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said that “in a world in which different peoples and traditions are coming into closer, more frequent contact than ever before, it is crucial that young people learn how to listen intently, empathize with others, acknowledge divergent opinions, and be able to resolve conflicts.”
To celebrate this year & in support of the United Nations ‘Academic Impact’, The United Nations Information Center (UNIC) for India & Bhutan is hosting ‘The Young Changemakers Conclave'.
100 students between the age of 18 to 24 years from across India will be selected to participate in this conclave
Registration Fees:
For Local Students: Rs 2000/-
- Pass to inaugural dinner on 7th January’2011
- Conference Stationary & material
- Lunch & Dinner on 8th & 9th January
For Outstation Students: Rs 4,000/-
- Dormitory accommodation on 7th, 8th & 9th January at the International Youth Center (also known as Vishwa Yuvak Kendra), Chanakya Puri, New Delhi.
- Transport to & from hostel to the conclave’s venue
- Pass to inaugural dinner on 7th January’2011
- Conference Stationary & material
- Lunch & Dinner on 8th & 9th January
Please note:
- Outstation participants may opt to arrange for their own accommodation & pay Rs 2,000/-. However prior email intimation required once you are informed of your selection.
- Local Students cannot avail hostel facility due to logistical reasons.
- Payment details will be provided to selected applicants.
- Outstation participants to report on their own to the Dormitory by 4pm on the 7th of January’2011.

- Deadline to Receive participation fees by Cheque: 15th December’2010
- Allotment of Groups & introduction to mentor: 7th December’2010
