Brochure and Application: ngo-awards-2008.pdf The India NGO Awards is an initiative of the Resource Alliance in partnership with The Nand and Jeet Khemka Foundation. Launched in 2006, it seeks to acknowledge and felicitate organisations that are setting and promoting best practices in resource mobilisation, accountability and transparency. Please find attached the brochure/entry form for the India NGO Awards 2008. The last date for receiving entries is October 4, 2008. We would request you to kindly forward the same to all your partners who could suitably apply for the Award. Non Governmental Organisations from across the country are encouraged to send in their entries under one of the three categories based on their annual budget for 2007-08. Categories - Small: Annual budget under 50 lakhs - Medium: Annual budget between Rs 50 lakhs and 5 crores - Large: Annual budget over 5 crores Criteria Organisations will be evaluated on the effective and sustainable mobilisation of resources, the demonstration of efficient management of resources, good governance practices, transparency and accountability, and the impact of the services it provides to the community it serves. Benefits Three national winners will be announced in each of the three categories and will be presented with a trophy and a cash prize of Rs 4,00,000/-. The national and regional finalists will be profiled in a casebook, which will be distributed across the country. All applicants will be invited to participate in customised workshops on resource mobilisation and related areas and will also be given platforms to engage with potential donors.
