We can make a change We can make a change – Part II Water water everywhere Never drop a drop
We can make a change
If we misuse it all
There's nothing for tomorrow
We can't buy it at a mall
There'll be nothing left to borrow
No more fresh water,
means no more trees
and if this goes on
there won’t be you or me.
There are more of us today
Wanting more food and water
There’s old Mr Rao
His daughters and granddaughters
We want more things to use
It comes from factories
And all this stuff
With water comes to be
We're running out of
Lakes and pond,
More water’s being pulled
Out of the ground
We’re throwing in muck
Into our rivers
Not realizing
they’re life givers
It’s time to get wise and
Make a change
We can do it
We can make a change
There's nothing for tomorrow
We can't buy it at a mall
There'll be nothing left to borrow

We can make a change – Part II
Stop a drip
in the sink
Start a drip
where roses are pink
Veggies, rice and dal,
wash in a cooking pot
And put this water
Into a flower pot
Don’t use a hose
To wash our bikes
“Don’t waste water”
Tell the little tykes
Full machine loads
That’s what you should do
Less per flush
Is good too
It’s time to get wise and
Make a change
We can do it
We can make a change
“Water water everywhere,
But not a drop to drink"
Have you merely read those words,
Or have you stopped to think?
The oceans rising, the globe’s warming,
There is no time to blink,
But your taps are open, and buckets flowing,
Can’t you see a link?
Droughts in Kerala, Floods in Rajasthan,
But you simply stand and wink,
You turn the page and wonder,
When the newspaper will be out of ink!
The oceans will flow over,
The land will all just shrink,
I'm warning you it'll happen,
It's already reached the brink.
The rivers don’t have water,
It can’t be true you think
The rain is going haywire
You’re surely going to stink
So today you can call me mad,
And say 'you’re a little kink'
But tomorrow you'll be saying,
"Please give me some water to drink?!"
The drops will drop!
And if the drops drop
the crops will drop
To stop the drop in the crops
we have to crop wasted drops
and give our crops
a steady drip and a drop
So never drop a drop
Try to crop the drops
