Dewas district of Madhya Pradesh selected by the UN for "Best Water Management Practice"

United Nations, UN, selected Dewas district's community water management works in the best three water management practices in the world under the category of "Best Water Management Practices" for 2011-2012.

Umakant Umrao IAS established a practical concept of "Economy of Water" and motivated farmers for water management when he was the district collector of the Dewas district, at present he is the health secretary of Madhya Pradesh.
