Devendra Saroj, a recent addition to the UNESCO-IHE's Urban Water & Sanitation Department recently received the 'Best PhD research award' from the Azienda Mediterranea Gas e Acqua (AMGA) Foundation, based in Genova, Italy. His PhD research was selected from among the best work in the field of water. Devendra Saroj graduated (B.Tech. in Civil Engineering, 2002) from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT)-Roorkee (India), and completed M.Tech. (Environmental Engineering and Management, 2004) from IIT-Kanpur (India). He obtained doctoral degree in Environmental Engineering (with Doctor Europaeus, 2007) from University of Trento (Italy).
