BREACH IN THE EMBANKMENT IN SITAMARHI, BIHAR This is to bring to your notice that the Bagmati embankment has been reported to have breached at village Tilak Tajpur Pota in Ruini Saidpur block of Sitamarhi district. The breach occurred between 0400 - 0500 hrs today morning. As per ground/initial report, the breach was initially of 25 feet and now has increased to approximately 100 feet. As per primary estimate three blocks of Sitamarhi - Ruini Saidpur, Belsand and Parihar blocks have been affected. Besides these blocks of Sitamarhi, three blocks of Darbhanga - Kusheswar Sthan, Birol and Singhwara is reported to have received the flood waters.
