Badlaav 2009 – Be the Change! is a youth summit on climate change taking place in New Delhi, India from July 18 through to July 23, 2009. Organized by the Indian Youth Climate Network (IYCN), this summit will bring together hundreds of youth from across the country on the issue of climate change. Grounded in a social justice framework, and informed by the Millennium Development Goals, Badlaav 2009 participants can expects plenary sessions with inspiring speakers; informative and engaging workshop sessions on issues including the technical aspects of climate change, food security and biodiversity; skills workshops giving participants tools to impart peace education, use new social media, fundraise and more; creative elements like music, theatre and dance; and so much more!
The Venue
Badlaav 2009 will be taking place at the American Embassy School (AES), Chanakyapuri, Chandragupta Marg, American Embassy School (AES),, Chanakyapuri
Accommodations
For participants from outside of Delhi, accommodation is provided at NDMC Baraat Ghar, Aliganj, NDMC Baraat Ghar, Aliganj, near Lodhi Colony ( (5 min walk opposite India Habitat Centre)
The Costs
Registration: Rs/ 100 per day OR Rs/ 500 for the entire summit (for individuals in Delhi); Rs/ 200 for the entire summit (for individuals from outside of Delhi). Accommodation: Rs/ 100 per night
