रिस्कन नदी 40 किमी लंबी है। अब तक बने 5000 से अधिक खावों का प्रभाव कहीं-कहीं दिखाई देने लगा है। लेकिन एक नदी को जिंदा होने के लिए पर्याप्त नहीं है। रिस्कन नदी को बचाने हेतु उनके द्वारा माननीय प्रधानमंत्री महोदय, माननीय जल शक्ति मंत्री भारत सरकार व माननीय मुख्यमंत्री उत्तराखंड से भी निवेदन किया गया है।

When climate change was first posited as "real" people all over the world realized that this issue encompasses the inter linkage of several other issues. The scope and magnitude of the consequences of climate change are also very far reaching.

Some of the issues the SBSTA is currently dealing with are land use, land-use change and forestry, adaptation, mitigation, research, systematic observation and bunker fuels.

The Kyoto Protocol: Mandate, mechanisms and revisions
The Kyoto Protocol is a landmark agreement reached at the Conference of the Parties (COP 3) in Japan. It derives its name after the city, Kyoto, in Japan, where the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Conference - COP 3 was held in December 1997. Industrialized countries agreed to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions as per levels specified in the treaty.
