About Water Integrity Network

The Water Integrity Network (WIN), hosted by Transparency International, was formed in 2006 to respond to increasing concerns among water and anti-corruption stakeholders over corruption in the water sector.

About the course

In partnership with the Virtual School of UNDP, WIN is organizing online course on increasing transparency, accountability and participation in the water sector.

The course targets water sector practitioners interested in deepening their knowledge and sharing their experiences in the area of anticorruption; and people working on projects and initiatives in the water sector related to anti-corruption, transparency and human development issues in the water sector.

Eligibility

Interested candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Be working on projects/initiatives related to anti-corruption, transparency and human development issues in the water sector.
  • Computer availability, internet access.
  • Minimum availability of 10 hours per week to read the compulsory material, discuss in the forums and participate in course activities.

How to register

  • First register in the Virtual School database - Fill out the form given here
  • Once you have completed this step, you will receive a confirmation email with your username and password.
  • Visit www.undpschool.org and login on the top left of the screen. Once you are logged in, please click on "course enrollments" under the user menu.
  • Now you will find the enrollment form. To select the course, click on the title “Course on increasing transparency, accountability and participation in the water sector”. Remember, the fields marked with a (*) are mandatory. Once completed, click on “Submit”
  • The system will show a message as follows: You have been successfully registered on the course: “Course on increasing transparency, accountability and participation in the water sector”. The message confirms that the registration process is completed.
  • Once you have gone through the registration process on the Virtual School portal you must fill the following form and send it via email to Virtual School and Anna Buzzoni before March 31st.

Scholarships

Scholarships will be targeted to students who present a research abstract on one of the following strategic topics. The abstract must not exceed 800 words. This will be further developed into a research project along the course.

20 scholarships will be available to WIN members only. WIN membership is free and open to both individual and corporate members.
