Drishtee Foundation is a social organization working with and for rural communitites. They are looking for a passionate candidate for an interesting opening in Saurath, Bihar. With a presence of over seven years in the Information and Communication Technology for Development (ICT4D) domain, Drishtee Foundation (DF) has undertaken numerous initiatives to ensure holistic development of communities in its areas of operation.

Position name: Dhruv Tara Kendra Centre Incharge - Saurath, Madhubani District- Bihar
Prefered date of joining: At the earliest
Location: Saurath, Madhubani district of Bihar
Salary range: B/W Rs 15000–25000 (negotiable)
Type of position: Contractual, Minimum 1 year
Most important skills: To ensure that the Centre (Dhurv Tara Kendra) works profitably, with due consideration of all the undergoing projects in the Centre. The selected candidate will also lead the Centre Team (typically 4-6 staff members) depending on the ongoing projects
Desired qualification level: UG/PG in Rural Management or experience in developmental sector
Most relevant experience: Good exposure of rural areas and relevant experience in social/livelihood projects. A proven track record of successful project implementation in a rural environment.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Work closely with the community to understand the business feasibility and development of effective business prospects and relationships for the Centre
- Define the deliverables, resource requirements and work plan for the project, and manage their development and delivery
- To ensure that the Centre should carry out some innovative activities in order to benefit and mobilize the local community
- Responsible for the innovation and new activities at the Centre
- Manage, monitor and motivate the rural entrepreneurs in order to have successful rural enterprises
- To document the updates, status, entrepreneur progress and compile reports
The candidate should preferably be a -
- Local person
- Fluent in Hindi, English and Methli (optional)
- Have good writing and documentation skills
