Posted on 22 Sep, 2016 12:56 PMसाहित्य अकादेमी पुरस्कार से सम्मानित सिर्पी बालसुब्रम्हण्यम की तमिल कविता संग्रह ‘ओरू गिराभत्तु नदी’ की चर्चा इसलिये क्योंकि नदी को इस संग्रह में एक नदी की तरह नहीं बल्कि इसे कविता संग्रह की कविताएँ उत्सवधर्मिता, गीत, नृत्य, संगीत, आस्था और विश्वास से भी जोड़ती है। यह कविता संग्रह एक नदी में जीवन के कई रंगों की उपस्थिति को दर्शाता है, जिसमें दुख भी है, त्रासदी भी है और यातना का स्वर भी।

आजकल कावेरी के जल के बँटवारे से जुड़ा विवाद चर्चा का विषय बना हुआ है। वैसे तो देश में इस विवाद के अलावा भी दूसरे राज्यों में जल के बँटवारे को लेकर बहुतेरे विवाद चर्चा में हैं। इनमें कृष्णा नदी जल विवाद, नर्मदा नदी जल विवाद, गोदावरी नदी जल विवाद, सतलुज-यमुना लिंक नहर विवाद और मुल्ला पेरियार बाँध से जुड़े विवाद प्रमुख रूप से चर्चित हैं। इनको लेकर राज्यों में आज भी टकराव कायम है।
