About the training:
WOTR has modified the water stewardship approach and has promotes it in different Indian states. With years of experience of WOTR in this field, the training is designed to strengthen water governance by promoting the ‘Water Stewardship Initiative’ nationally. The program will cover conceptual, technical, historical, social, legal and institutional aspects of water governance and share experiences and innovations in water stewardship. In addition, the participants will gain the required knowledge and skills to facilitate community action towards the conjunctive use of water by adopting appropriate tools and techniques which will enable planning for water stewardship at community and aquifer levels.
