Description:
The Indian Institute of Geographical Studies (TIIGS) was set up in response to the dire need for improvement and updating in geography education in our schools. Geography education is currently only a burden and an exam subject to be forgotten the day the exam is over!.
Kids think geography is boring! They get this feeling from the adults around them – teachers, parents, siblings. In fact, geography is very interesting, exciting, and fun! The Indian Institute of Geographical Studies has been conducting many workshops for teachers and students for a decade now. Now, we have set up the GeoVidyaa Geography Centre of Excellence (“GeoVidyaa Centre” for short). This current series invites parents to participate in some of the workshops along with their kids. These workshops are designed to be interactive and fun, while at the same time offer depth and intelligent exploration. All our workshops use the USA National geography education standards.
The entire series of workshops may be booked as a block for a school or other organization. This and other series will be offered later also.
