The Consortium for DEWATS Dissemination (CDD) Society is working to provide one million marginalised people with access to water, sanitation and energy by 2015. From their headquarters in Bangalore, they work through a network of like minded organisations across South Asia to provide cost effective, environmentally sound, and community specific basic needs services.
Description:
A six days full residential introductory training programme on Decentralised Wastewater Treatment System (DEWATS) will be held for practitioners associated with design and implementation of domestic wastewater treatment units, wastewater management and other sanitation sector professionals from government, private and academic organisations.
Objective:
The objective of this training programme is to introduce and impart engineering skills to professionals for designing and implementing DEWATS.
Participants:
- The participants should have a minimum of 1-2 years of prior work experience in the water, sanitation and/or waste management sector.
- English language skills are required as that will be the medium of instruction and teaching.
- Potential participants for this training course are from government and private organisations:
- Engineers (sanitary, environmental, etc.)
- Wastewater management practitioners
- Architects
- Other professionals with a background in related sectors such as water resource management, infrastructure, etc.
Registration fee: Rs.15,000/-

As seats are limited to 20 participants, relevant applicants will be selected by an expert committee and informed as soon as possible.
