"Struck by fluorosis", is a report by Nava Thakuria, written in January 2007, about the flourosis situation in Assam and Kari Anglong. Nearly 20,000 people suffer from flourosis in Assam alone, and in Karbi Anglong, well known for its scenic beauty and thick forests, a tenth of the population is afflicted with dental or skeletal fluorosis.
