We are coming up with series of articles on issues related to FAT OIL GREASE and about GREASE TRAP. We are starting with basic about WHAT IS GREASE TRAP and then to the conditions of Traps, reasons of its mal functioning, its problems and finally its solution.
We have been visiting Hotels, Corporate houses and Commercial establishments like malls and while interacting with Concern persons, we found that Grease Trap is a major concern having no solution at present or people are not aware of the solution.
Old practice of manually scrapping of surface deposition of FOG is still carried out, which is dirty and also pollutes environment with its foul smell. Disposing it off will be also difficult in near future as stricter restriction are coming up from municipality, because FOG is considered as non bio-degradable.
