Global Sanitation Fund - Proceedings of the India launch workshop - India WASH Forum - New Delhi (2009)
Posted on 16 Dec, 2009 03:46 PMThe India WASH Forum (IWF), a coalition of individuals representing an independent credible voice in the water and sanitation sector that is aligned to the Water Supply and Sanitation Collaborative Council (WSSCC), supported the launch of the Global Sanitation Fund (GSF) in India, to assist the people of the country, who do not have adequate access to clean water and sanitation.
A launch workshop of the Global Sanitation Fund was organised on 4th August 2009 in New Delhi, by the India WASH Forum, to discuss GSF programme priorities and its implementation structure for India. Representatives of national and international organisations, Government of India, as well as sector experts participated in the workshop.

As you know there is not a lot of discussion going on during COP 15 on the relation with water. Through this channel we would like to draw more attention on the importance of it. Posted on 08 Dec, 2009 12:21 AMIn a free market where efficiency and value for money are the driving factors, the consumers become conscious (and highly selective) in what they are buying and what they get out of it. Who would buy a less fuel efficient car or for that matter an electric appliance which consumes more electricity for the amount of work it does?
No mention of water issues in the high-level discussions in Copenhagen
Posted on 07 Dec, 2009 12:56 PMEver since the tide of COP 15 related news swelled across the media and press releases in various parts of the world, I have been wondering if climate issues are different from that of water. Perhaps water doesn't count as a valid climatic element or may be it doesn't make the argument any stronger than what carbon emissions and global warming can do!
