HSS&M of IITBBS is organizing a Workshop on "Environmental Impact Assessment: Issues, Challenges, and Policy Implications in India” (EIA-2012) during June 9-10, 2012. We look forward to your participation and support in making this workshop a success.

The Water Integrity Network (WIN) was formed in respond to increasing concerns among water and anti-corruption stakeholders over corruption in the water sector. It combines global advocacy, regional networks and local action, to promote increased transparency and integrity, bringing together partners and members from the public and private sectors, civil society and academia, to drive change that will improve the lives of people who need it most. WIN’s vision is a world with equitable and sustained access to water and a clean environment, which is no longer threatened by corruption, greed, dishonesty and wilful malpractice.

The MoRD constituted the present Committee with a mandate to study the structure of the DRDA and suggest measures to strengthen their professional character so that they could be useful to the Zila Parishads and the district administration in planning for removal of rural poverty.

Although significant progress has been made in terms of individual household toilet coverage in the state, usage by the population is still low at 12.9 per cent (DLHS 2007-08). ICDS directorate, Bihar plans to conduct audits in East Champaran District with the help of Jan Jagaran Shakti Sangathan (JSS) and other civil society organizations.
